The Doodlists

The central foundation to the formation of The Doodlists collective is to raise the status of doodling in the fine arts and in the public at large.

The concept for The Doodlists was created by fellow artist, and friend, Dana Frostick who is located and works out of Richmond, VA. Dana is known for creating what she calls "Elaborate Doodles," and so doodling as a process to make art is very close to her.

Although all the artists involved in the collective and exhibition have different styles, we were brought together by the idea and driving force that doodling is a valuable way to make art, reach new ideas, and an invaluable drawing tool both mentally and materially.

The Doodlists include: Myself, Duane Cregger, Dana Frostick, Shannon Gilbert, Leo Heinzel, Tracy Herman, Matt Lively, Ja Mes, Susan Singer, Henry Stindt, Rob Ryder and Roman Zelgatas.

The exhibition opens Friday April 24th at Artspace in Richmond, VA.(Zero East 4th St, Richmond, Virginia 23224.804 232-6464.
